The driving school "Motor School" (Izumi, Hirosaki City) is currently recruiting participants for the "Motor Song Contest", the 55th anniversary project.

The motor song is the theme song of the school. It is known as the "local song that all Aomori citizens sing," with the lyrics of "Saai Koukoi wo Kimi ni Tori ni Tori ni Tori". The TV commercial with the same song was broadcast from 1969 (Showa 44), and was used until 2008 after one remake.

According to Satoru Munakata of "Musico Create," which runs the school, it is the first attempt to hold a contest to judge the theme song that was originally arranged. "Of course, I haven't used it for the past few years, and I want to find new value by using it again, as well as making me feel nostalgic."

The recruitment is for 3 categories: "vocals", "performances" and "lyrics". The vocal division examines the singing video by combining the performance with various musical instruments and singing. You can also sing and arrange with multiple people. The performance category is judged by a video of the performance only. The songwriting department examines the lyrics made to suit the song. The application deadline is December 15.

From December 16th to January 15th of next year, the collected works will be subject to a general vote, and the selection committee will finalize the grand prix. The Grand Prix winners of each category will be presented with a gift certificate worth 50,000 yen, and the Grand Prix winners of the vocal category will also be awarded the CM appearance right to be broadcast from next year.
