On September 18, at a Hirosaki apple farm, fans of the cartoon "Flying Witch" helped with farm work.

The manga, set in Aomori and Hirosaki, is currently serialized in "Separate Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), and in April it was animated on the Nippon Television series. Although the anime ended in August, fans of the “Sacred Pilgrims” who go around the stage in the film are still visiting Hirosaki.

On the same day, the five people who visited the "Sacred place pilgrimage" from around the Kanto area asked Chikage Ishioka, an apple-producing farmer in Hirosaki, who he met on SNS, toured the farm and helped with the agricultural work. The 40-year-old man who lived in Kawasaki City said that he wanted to try it because there was a scene where he picked flowers during the work.

Many participants said that the farming work itself was their first experience, and the man said, ``Steady work that can not see the end of flower picking and leaf removal, the sadness of dropping apples before harvest, the relationship between sweetness and leaves of apples, the reason for coloring I learned a lot, etc.”

The man also visited Mr. Ishioka's farm in May and June to do farm work. "I learned that it takes more time, labor and time than I imagined to make apples. Once I try it, I feel that the way I taste apples will change," he said.

Mr. Ishioka, who accepted the experience of the sacred place, smiles, "There are people who want to experience Hirosaki from the cartoon called Flying Witch, and people who want to know more about apples also appear and are happy."
