A space school will be held on October 22 at Hirosaki's resort hotel "Romantopia in the Stars and Forests" (Misaki Zaike, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-84-2288). Sponsored by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Space Science Institute.

The classroom is held regularly throughout the country to raise interest in space. In addition to the lectures by researchers at the Institute for Space Science, there will also be time to exchange questions such as directly answering questions about the universe. It has been held every year since 1995, and this is the first time it has been held in Aomori Prefecture.

Two instructors on the day were Junichiro Kawaguchi and Masato Nakamura. Kawaguchi is a space engineer from Hirosaki. As a project manager for the asteroid explorer Hayabusa, he was involved in various scientific satellite missions. Mr. Nakamura, who has a grandfather from Hirosaki, was the satellite chief of the Venus probe "Akatsuki". Currently a professor at JAXA Institute of Space Science.

Hirosaki City Central Community Center Somakan "Keikeikaku" (Goshonozawa) opened a space school, and after the space school, planned a barbecue house at the hotel and a starry sky observation event at an observatory. Mr. Eiichi Fujita, head of the Astronomical Kitchen at the hotel, said that there have already been some inquiries since August 31, when the information was made public, and "If you have any questions, please contact us directly." "It's a great opportunity to hear the stories of two people together. I want as many people as possible to come," he calls for participation.

Holding time is from 14:30 to 17:30. The capacity is 200 people. Free to join.
