The "Keinojiru Contest Contest for My Home" was held in Hirosaki to showcase the original recipe of "Kenojiru", a local dish in the Tsugaru region.

Keno-soup is a local dish in the Tohoku region centered on the Tsugaru region where radish, carrots and wild vegetables are finely chopped and seasoned with miso and soy sauce. The cooking method differs depending on the region and home, and it is popular as a preserved food in winter.

This year's "My Idea Koji Juice Contest" will be held for the first time. It was sponsored by the Watoku History Detectives Group, which is active in the Watoku area, as one of the events of the 443th anniversary of the death of the owner of the Watoku castle, Oyamauchi Sanukikami.

Takahiro Mikami, a member of the detective team, said, "We picked up the mushroom juice as a tool for the town-raising business." There is a historical fact that edible soup was eaten in Watoku Castle, and in 2005 Watoku Castle was declared the birthplace of edible soup. “I thought it would be nice to have a movement like the'Kenoju controversy ',” says Mikami. I laugh at the controversy at the moment.

There were applications from Hachinohe City and high school students for this contest. "Keno-soup" which won the grand prix is "Fuwatoke-no-soup" devised by Midori Iwayama who lives in the city. "I wanted my grandson to be happy," he said, adding rice, soy milk, bacon, and mixed vegetables to make it Western-style.

There was a long line at the tasting party for the Grand Prix work. A woman in her 20s who tasted said, "(The soup from the Grand Prix) seemed to be a habit. In fact, the name was the deciding factor."
