On August 8th, Aomori local idol apple girls learned how to make rice balls at Hirosaki Actor's School (Miyakawa, Hirosaki City).

Hirosaki Actors School, to which "Ringo Musume" and "Alps Otome" belong, holds summer school camps every year for school students. At the training camp, self-catering, cleaning, and zazen are done to learn "lifestyle etiquette". This year, we invited Yamatoya's third generation wolf, Mr. Toshio Kudo, as a lecturer at the "Yamatoya Rice Ball Knotting Party" and gave a class to learn how to tie rice ball.

The Yamato family is a Japanese restaurant founded in 1923. Kudo started selling rice balls in 1971. He started making rice balls for his daughter to eat, but doubting that the main purchasing department in junior high school was bread, he started selling to the Hirosaki school and started selling them at the purchasing department. The Japanese Warrior Store has closed and the purchasing department has already finished selling it, but we still order rice balls.

Shinichi Hikawa, who presides over Actor's School, said, “The purpose is to convey food education to school students. Since they are idols who aim to revitalize agriculture, let me learn the importance of food and life on this occasion. , I want to communicate through entertainment activities."

Mr. Kudo said, “Although there have been places to teach adults in the past, it may be the first time to teach children how to make rice balls directly. Until the Yamatos celebrate their 100th anniversary, there is also a place to continue making rice balls and learn. I want to keep it," he says with a smile.
