    Tonkatsu Manpuku (Fukumura, Hirosaki City, TEL 090-1493-5189) opened near Hirosaki-Fukumura Elementary School on June 11.

    This shop specializes in pork cutlet using "Yamazaki pork" from Misawa farm (Misawa City, Aomori Prefecture). Mr. Masanobu Mitsuhashi, who has reached retirement age, realized the long-standing dream of a tonkatsu restaurant and opened it. "When I was 20 years old, the tonkatsu that I ate in Iidabashi, Tokyo was delicious and I wanted to run my own tonkatsu shop someday," he said.

    Mr. Mitsuhashi from Tsuruta moved to Tokyo after graduating from junior high school and gained experience as a chef by continuing his training at “Restaurant Kiyama” where he continued to cook dishes for the garden party. Mr. Mitsuhashi said, “I was in charge of anything other than Asian food such as Thai food,” including returning home when I was 28 years old and serving teppanyaki at City Hotel, which opened in front of Hirosaki station. It is said that he also worked at the Tsugaru Country Golf (Momozawa Susono) and the restaurant of the Tsugaru Traditional Crafts Museum (Fukurotoyama, Kuroishi).

    The store area is 12 tsubo. There are 18 seats including counter seats and small seats. All the dishes are handmade up to seasoning, and almost all ingredients from the prefecture are used. He also showed his commitment such as "I use Hatcho Miso for miso, but Tsugaru Miso blend", "I really want to keep it as cheap as possible, but I will also focus on cost performance such as adding dessert as much as it becomes cheaper" "

    The menu is "Today's recommended set meal" (10 meals a day only, 980 yen), loin and set meal (1,100 yen), fin and set meal (1,200 yen), shrimp menchi and set meal (1,100 yen), fried shrimp set meal (1,200 yen) ), mixed fry set meal (1,100 yen), special roast cutlet set meal (1,500 yen), "Tonkatsu shop's cutlet curry" (1,080 yen), and roast cutlet bowl (900 yen). Rice can be changed to garlic rice for 150 yen. Katsu sandwich (650 yen) can be taken out.

    It's been a month since we opened, and Mr. Mitsuhashi says that he will be in the game from now on. "I retired at retirement and finally managed to open the tonkatsu shop I had dreamed of for many years. I want to continue until I get a pension," he says with a smile.

    Business hours are from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00. Closed every Wednesday and third Thursday.
