The "Classic Car Club Aomori Meeting in Komise" will be held on July 17, centering on "Nakamachi Komise Dori", the downtown area of Aomori and Kuroishi.

This year, the event will bring together about 250 classic cars. The famous cars of the past will be exhibited on Komise-dori, which is designated as an important traditional building preservation area.

Morio Yokoyama, Secretary General of the Classic Car Club Aomori, said, "This event allows you to see the cars of the Showa era in a cityscape that matches the times, as if you had a time slip."

The exhibited vehicles are the oldest and rare "MP4" model of the three-wheeled "Midget" and the "Isuzu BXD30" classic bus that can be used free of charge. In the south, there are also car owners who participate from Hyogo prefecture. At a flea market where shopkeepers gather from inside and outside the prefecture, about 20 stores also sell Showa toys and vintage goods.
