A craft event "Tsugaru Mori Tsugarumori 2016" will be held on May 28th and 29th at Iwakiyama Sakurarin Park (Momozawa, Hirosaki City).

This is the fourth year of the event, with approximately 130 Tsukuri-makers from 28 prefectures nationwide and 21 restaurants opening food booths both inside and outside the prefecture.

This year, temporary toilets and rest areas will be added, and food booths will be installed at three venues. Mr. Hitoshi Soma, the chairman of the executive committee, said, "Because it is a sloping place, we paid more attention than last year to avoid burdening visitors."

Mr. Soma is a member of the executive committee of the craft event "C-POINT" that was once held in Ajigasawa Town, Aomori Prefecture. According to Soma, since there was no event in the prefecture that focused on “craft” in the beginning of 2001, when “C-POINT” was launched, the organizers wanted to see various works by the artists. That. “It has been more than 10 years since the event was held for the first time, and craft events that have inherited the idea of “C-POINT” have come to be held inside and outside the prefecture,” he recalls.

Mr. Soma has called on visitors to hold "Tsugaru Mori" since last year, saying "Enjoy a picnic". ``The appearance of visitors who stay with the family all day long was conspicuous, and they seem to find their own way of enjoying, such as a mother looking around the work, a father lying in the shade of fresh green trees, a child playing at the venue. Smile."

“We want to provide a cozy place where we can interact with the “making hands” and the “using hands,” as we say. I hope that it will be an event that can be raised by all participants.

Holding time is 28th = 10am to 5pm, 29th = 9am to 5pm. free entrance. A free shuttle bus to the venue is also available (reservation required 2 days before use).
