On April 27, the yoga studio "Yoga Studio re-light" (TEL 0172-55-0231) opened on the 2nd floor of Hirohiro shopping mall "Hiroro" (Ekimae-cho, Hirosaki City).

The store will be the first "yoga specialty" business format in the city. The store name is a coined word that means "shining again". “I want to provide a place where people can be aware of their physical and mental health through yoga,” says Yoshiko Kanawa. In addition to a lesson studio of about 20 tsubo, the store will have a sales area for the first yoga brand in Aomori prefecture, including a yoga shop.

After graduating from high school, Mr. Kanawa was involved in overseas weddings and service businesses such as hotels in Osaka and Tokyo, and about 10 years ago he started going to a fitness club near his home and met yoga. “I was fascinated by the fact that I could continue at my own pace, not intense exercise,” says Mr. Kanawa.

Kanawa's younger sister, MOMO, said she started yoga from relieving postpartum stress, and participated in the “Sivananda Yoga” teacher training in Vietnam. In the conversation of the sisters, he found out that Hirosaki did not have a yoga studio, and he started a business, "let's make it ourselves."

For the course, we will prepare 5 times a month = 5,000 yen, 10 times a month = 6,500 yen, "all-you-can-eat" = 7,500 yen that can be taken once a day, senior free for people over 60 years old = 5,000 yen. Enrollment fee is 3,000 yen (separate membership card issuance fee of 1,000 yen).

There are currently 10 types of lesson content, and it is planned to increase in the future according to the level and demands. Trial lessons (1,000 yen) are also held, and monthly lessons with a theme, yoga for parents and children, and lessons for children are also held.

One month has passed since the opening, and "The cityscape has changed in Hirosaki for the first time in 20 years, but the warmth of people has not changed," says Kanawa. "I am happy that my classmates and people who have been out of contact for many years also visit. I am happy that yoga is a casual exercise. I hope yoga will contribute to Aomori's health and the return of short-lived prefectures."

Business hours are from 10:00 to 20:00. Only lessons are closed on the 15th of every month.
