The "2016 Tsugaru Yuru Soccer Match" was held at Hirosaki City Sports Park (Toyota Hirosaki City) on May 15th with 12 Yuru characters from Aomori.

The match was held before the match between the Hirosaki soccer club "Brandue Hirosaki FC" and the Akita company team "Saruta Kogyo" in the Tohoku league. Using a balance ball, 12 Yuru characters divided into "Team apples" and "Team whites" held a 15-minute soccer match, which excited the crowd of about 200 people.

Aomori Prefecture has 27 entries for the Yuru-Kara Grand Prix, and the number of Yuru-Characters per capita is the highest in the Tohoku area and the sixth highest in Japan.
