The craft fair "Tsugaru Mori Tsugarumori 2014" will be held on May 31 and June 1 at Sakurabayashi Park (Hirosaki City Hyakusawa) at the foot of Mt. Iwaki. This year, about 140 "makers" from 29 prefectures will gather.

The craft fair is a new event that started last year. Mr. Hitoshi Soma, the representative of the Tsugarumori Executive Committee, is one of the executive committees of the craft fair "C-POINT" that has been held in Ajigasawa Town for 10 years. It was launched last year in response to the desire to resume.

“There were many applications from our website this year,” says Soma. I analyze that it has spread through word-of-mouth communication between “creators”. "There are also manufacturers from Saga prefecture in the distance. I think many manufacturers come to Aomori prefecture for the first time."

Last year, the number of visitors for two days was 30,000, which was higher than expected. "I want you to feel like a picnic," this year, we will increase the number of food booth stores and enhance them from last year. Considering the slope in the park, the layout of the booth will be changed significantly. “If it's a place to interact with the makers and buy good works,” Soma says.
