The cherry blossoms in the outer moat of Hirosaki Park (Shirogincho, Hirosaki City) were in full bloom on April 22.

According to the flowering situation announced by Hirosaki City at 11:00 on the same day, Yoshino cherry trees bloom in the garden and Nishibori west coast for 7 minutes, and cherry blossom tunnels for 3 minutes. Expected full bloom days in the park and the Nishibori west bank are 23 days, cherry blossom tunnels are 25 days, and rafts are expected from 25 days. Honmaru Yaebeshidare confirmed the flowering on the same day, and the expected full bloom is April 27.

The cherry blossoms in the park have different flowering and full bloom dates depending on the location. The outer moat, which was in full bloom at the beginning, blooms earlier every year due to the reflection of asphalt and traffic. Nishibori, which has a tunnel of cherry blossoms, is said to bloom late every year because the temperature is low in the park due to the wind from Mt. Iwaki.

A woman in her 20s, who visited Hirosaki for the first time from Tokyo, said, "I was surprised that the cherry blossoms in the garden were still in bloom for 7 minutes. I was impressed by the beautiful cherry blossoms I have never seen before."

Junichi Nagao, a weather forecaster for the local community FM station "Apple Wave" said, "Today's maximum temperature was nearly 4 degrees higher than normal. There is little worry of rain on weekends, it is a good weather for cherry blossom viewing. It will be more cheerful than normal ".

The Sakura Festival Headquarters announced at 18:00 the number of people on the same day was about 100,000, with a cumulative total of 280,000 during the "quasi-sakura festival" that began on the 16th. The Sakura Festival will start tomorrow April 23rd.
