    On April 20, the "Dam Tourism Thinking Party" was held at Aomori-Nishimeyamura Central Community Center (Nishimeyamura Tashiro).

    At the panel discussion, Mayor Kunisada Mayor Sanjo of Niigata Prefecture and Mayor Yokote Takahashi of Akita Prefecture participated to discuss the dam tour that was actually conducted and how to utilize the dam in the future.

    “It is necessary for residents to know more about the dam and understand that it can be used as a tourist resource,” said Kazunori Seki, the mayor of Nishimeya Village.     There were more than 500 participants at the venue, and the organizers said they increased the number of seats. At the dumb card display corner installed inside the venue, there were visitors who looked at the cards distributed at dams across the country with great interest. After the closing, a site tour of the Tsugaru Dam was held to observe the appearance of the dam currently being released in the test flood and the inside of the boathouse.
