Challenge traditional techniques! Saki weaving experience
Saki weaving is a textile made in Aomori, where cotton was precious, and is made by reusing old cloth (furunu) that is finely torn instead of cotton threads. Nambusaki weaving, which has been handed down to the south, is designated as a traditional craft of Aomori.
Saki weave has different finish patterns depending on how the patterns of the old cloth used for the weft threads and the colors of the warp threads overlap, so even if you use the exact same material, you cannot do the same thing as two. Saki weaving products are basically one point.
The Southern Saki weaving experience is held in various places throughout the prefecture, but you can experience it every day at "Youtry", which is right outside Hachinohe Station. Why don't you try the traditional technique?
