A small restaurant in the port town of Aomori attracts attention
The Minato Shokudo is a popular restaurant in Hachinohe City, a major port city in Aomori Prefecture.
It is located in a slightly old town, and it is crowded with many customers during lunch time so that it is lined up outside the store. The inside of the store is a normal dining room itself. Then why is it so crowded? The reason for this was the secret in the Hirame-zuke bowl on the signboard menu. Even the plain sashimi soaked in sweet and spicy sauce on top of the rice in the bowl! The egg yolk is on top of it. The combination of the fresh umami and the yolk is outstanding and the chopsticks won't stop.
