A new illustration of Sakura Miku, a character derived from Hatsune Miku, was announced on February 26th, in collaboration with Hirosaki City and Hakodate City's tourism campaign ``Hirohako''.

In collaboration with Sakura Miku, the "Hirohako Spring Tourism Campaign" will be held from April 13th to May 31st, and collaboration posters and photo spot panels will be set up at tourist facilities in both cities. Continuing from last year, we will also create a theme song and a welcome announcement with Sakura Miku's voice.

The main visual of Sakura Miku announced this time is in Japanese clothing, and the visual set in Hirosaki City has the Hirosaki Castle tower as the background, and the Hakodate Magistrate Office in Hakodate City as the background. The person in charge of the illustration was iXima. Daigo Shirato, secretary general of the Hirosaki Tourism and Convention Association, said, ``We asked for Sakura Miku to wear a Japanese dress in order to promote the Japanese-ness of the event with an eye toward inbound tourists.''

The kimono designs for Hirosaki were fan-shaped and inspired by ``Neputa'' and patterned after the Milky Way (Kanun), while those for Hakodate were star-shaped, inspired by Goryokaku. In addition to the main visual, we have prepared 4 visuals, 2 for each city, and 6 default characters drawn with tourist content.

The visual, created by illustrator Chon*, features the late-blooming cherry blossoms Sekiyama in the background. Mr. Shirato says, ``Hirosaki Park has about 2,600 cherry blossoms of 52 different types, and in addition to the Somei Yoshino cherry trees, there are also late-blooming cherry blossoms, as well as Hanafububuki and Hana Raft, which can be enjoyed after they have fallen. The cherry blossoms in Hirosaki can be enjoyed depending on when and where you see them. "I want to spread the word that there are many different ways to enjoy it," he says enthusiastically.
