In Kuroishi City, Aomori Prefecture, there is a spot called Komise Dori, which has been selected as one of the "100 Best Roads in Japan." At "Tsugaru Komise Station" in Komise Dori, the Tsugaru Shamisen performers perform free live performance of Tsugaru Shamisen on the stage inside the store. We play every day from late April to early November. (*Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are only played during the winter)
I play the Tsugaru Shamisen twice a day. I am playing from 11:00 in the morning and 14:00 in the afternoon, and I am glad that the fee is free. It's a performance of about 20 to 30 minutes, so it's perfect for viewing!
A souvenir unique to Aomori is also sold at Tsugaru Komise Station. If you come to Kuroishi, this is a spot you should visit.
