Niji no Mart, a food market near Hirosaki Station (Ekimae-cho, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-32-6411 ), began selling Nijima no Oishimono Chagacha on January 3rd.

The signboard products sold at Niji no Mart are made into acrylic key holders and offered through self-made capsule vending machines. Daitoyo Hamada of Ikiiki Ichiba, the operator of Niji no Mart, said, "I thought the shape was cute, so I decided to commercialize it."

The lineup of acrylic key chains includes five types: “Sujiko”, “Ikamenchi”, “Tsugaru Soba”, “Natto Hanpen”, and Niji no Mart’s original character “Niji Mama”. Hamada says, "Rainbow Mama is a character created at the beginning of the company's founding. The design is 40 years old, so it's old-fashioned, but I have the impression that people in their 20s have accepted it."

According to Mr. Hamada, on January 3rd, the first day of sales, there were people who continuously tried to get all the varieties. “At first, I thought it might not sell well, but the reaction was more than I expected,” said Mr. Hamada. "As the first product, we are selling food-shaped postcards. Raw food can be difficult to buy as souvenirs, but key chains are easy to give. The point is that they are easy to wear. We are also thinking about product development with the 4th series,” he said enthusiastically.

The price is 400 yen. It will also be sold at the Niji Mart service counter and online.
