In the upper bank area of Hirosaki, "Body Switch, a specialty store that prepares the body" (Dotemachi, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-30-9071 ) opened on April 30th.

The store offers "conditioning" and "Pilates" lessons to improve your physical condition. The physiotherapist Takuya Sato and Yuko started.

Takuya is from Hirosaki Minami High School and belongs to the baseball club. Although he felt sick in his shoulders, he continued to play baseball until college, but from his own experience, he decided to go on the path of physiotherapy to reduce the number of athletes with physical pain.

After graduating from university, while working at a general hospital and orthopedic clinic in the Kanto area, he gained experience under the supervision of a top athlete's body, focusing on "conditioning" in the university baseball club and professional baseball. “The body is the same for both top athletes and the general public. To improve daily performance, it is important to prepare for any problems,” says Sato.

Yuko was born in Noshiro, Akita and was a softball player until high school. After graduating from high school, he went to a vocational school for sports trainers and worked as a physiotherapist in orthopedics for 12 years. Pilates, which I started at the recommendation of my seniors, acquired the Pilates instructor PLC1-4 qualification in order to utilize it in rehabilitation work. I met Takuya at a study session and got married. The two immigrated from Kanagawa last October.

I had decided to open a store in Dotemachi. The store area is about 17 tsubo. A locker room, a treatment room, and a walking space for creating a custom-made insole (sole plate) have been set up in the store. "We use a construction method called the'Iritani-style sole plate'to check the posture and walking style of the entire body before making it. Just changing the insole may improve pain and movement," says Takuya.

"Conditioning" (25 minutes = 4,400 yen) on the menu gives priority to telephone and online reservations. Takuya says, "Conditioning listens to an individual's lifestyle, environment, and physical condition, and gives advice that suits each individual."

"Pilates" includes private lessons (25 minutes = 4,400 yen, 55 minutes = 7,700 yen), group lessons (55 minutes = 2,000 yen), online group lessons (55 minutes = 1,000 yen), etc. Group lessons can accommodate up to 6 people at a specified time. About 10 kinds of lesson contents are prepared, and Pilates dedicated machines "Reformer" and "Cadillac" will be introduced soon. Students will be charged half the price.

Takuya says, "I don't want to put up with it until it hurts, but I want to make it a store where people can easily stop by if they feel something is wrong."
