On May 11th, Hirosaki's agricultural production corporation "Diamond Apple" began selling apple juice "Tsugaru Koi Otome" using the newly written label of the manga "Flying Witch".

"Tsugaru Koi Otome" is an apple juice with a character label drawn by Chihiro Ishizuka, a manga artist living in Hirosaki and the creator of the manga "Flying Witch" set in Hirosaki. There are three types, Fuji, Orin, and Kogyoku, and each character has an apple design.

"Diamond Apple" to be sold was opened in 2008 (Heisei 20) as an agricultural corporation aiming for stable income of apple farmers. Chizuko Ishioka, the president, said, "The price of apples for processing was not stable, which contributed to the unstable income of apple farmers. Creating added value was an issue."

Mr. Ishioka started developing a new apple juice from last year, but he failed. Instead of developing the apple juice itself, he focused on adding value by changing the design, and decided to ask Mr. Ishizuka, who is active in Hirosaki.

"I didn't specify the design, only the varieties used for apple juice. I asked for the company logo design and asked them to draw a cat character," says Ishioka.

It is only available on the official website, and the "Complete Gift Box", which is a set of three, was sold out in an hour after it started selling. Mr. Ishioka said, "At first, I thought it was a malfunction of the renewed site, so I contacted the vendor. I was surprised to find that it was really sold out."

The "Complete Gift Box" will be resold after the fall of this season's apple harvest. Separate sales are currently under preparation and will start later this month. Mr. Ishioka says, "In the future, I would like to prepare labels for different illustrations, sell canned juice, and also consider selling juice that can be visited by Hirosaki, the stage of the work." ..
