A "reverse recruitment" job hunting event for students who are scheduled to graduate in 2026 will be held on January 17th at the Hirosaki Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hall (Kamisayashi-cho, Hirosaki City). The event is being organized by "Anchor Link."

Ankerlink is a "reverse recruiting system" that allows companies to directly scout students, and is a job-hunting and recruitment site that specializes in matching companies in Aomori Prefecture with students seeking employment within the prefecture. As of January 2025, approximately 80 companies within the prefecture are registered. This will be the first time the company has held an offline, face-to-face event. Five companies from Hirosaki and Owani will participate on the day.

Based on the information that students pre-register, if one of the participating companies scouts them, they will be able to attend information sessions and interviews with two companies, the first one and the second one of their choice. The event also aims to raise awareness of Anchorlink's service, which allows students who have been scouted to "accept an offer as a second choice" as an option other than "accept" or "decline."

The company's president, Abe Shinnosuke, said, "For job-hunting students, reverse recruiting can be a way to get a job offer early on. We want to provide an opportunity for them to consider options that suit them."

Mikami Kohei, head of the Management Division 2 at the Hirosaki Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is sponsoring the event, said, "We hear from the chamber's member companies lamenting the difficulty of hiring university graduates. We hope that this event will serve as a catalyst to alleviate the labor shortage at local companies."

The event will be held from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Participation is free. The application deadline is January 14th.
