"Artistic Gifts" Exhibition in Aomori - 500 Christmas-themed works
The craft event "Artistic Gift Exhibition" is currently being held at Gallery DEAU in Cafe de Gitane Furukawa (Furukawa 1, Aomori City).
The event brought together about 500 Christmas-themed craft works. It was the first time it had been held in four years. Organizer Satoko Tonosaki said, "Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, artists began to lose a place to sell their works. There were voices calling for the event to be resumed, and we finally took the plunge."
There were 10 artists gathered, mainly from Tokyo. Hideyuki Kobayashi, myko, POTATO, Yuko Tsukiyama, Mikuni tableware, ikumit193, yayoi, and Cuiller are from Tokyo. Entricot and mi_mi_mi are from Aomori. In addition to the same exhibitors as last time, there are also artists exhibiting in Aomori for the first time.
In addition to miniature pottery, the venue also exhibits and sells Christmas tree-shaped earrings, cloth works with acrylic paints featuring faces as motifs, pin art, stuffed toys, and more. There is also "Mom Art" made from familiar materials. Bags and sewing items are on display.
Tonozaki says, "I hope people who want to give a unique gift or are looking to treat themselves will come and visit."
The event will be held from 10:00 to 16:00. Admission is free. Until December 14th.
