The Aburagawa Music Festival will be held on November 10th at the Furusato no Mori outdoor live venue in Nogiwa Park (Hajiro, Aomori City, TEL 017-741-6634 ).

This event was planned to allow people to enjoy music and local traditional performing arts. Its predecessor was the "Aburagawa Jazz Festival" held in 2015. After being suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was revived in 2022 as the "Aburagawa Music Festival," an event open to all music genres, and this year will be its third time.

Kasai Kiyomitsu, chairman of the event's executive committee, said, "When we changed the name and resumed the event, we wanted to make it an event that would liven up the local area. We hope that people will learn about the charms of Yukawa, including the local groups active in the area and the venue, Nogizaka Park, which is rich in nature."

The event is divided into two parts. The morning part will feature presentations by kindergartens, elementary and junior high schools in the Yukawa area, a performance by the Aomori Kita High School brass band, a fire brigade kimono, taiko drumming and lion dancing. The afternoon part will feature performances by music groups active in Aomori. A wide range of genres will be on offer, including jazz, shamisen, sign language performances and ukulele. There will also be stalls selling bento boxes, yakitori, cookies and more.

Kanazawa Muneyuki, a member of the executive committee, said, "We hope people will relax and enjoy the music while sipping on some local gourmet food and a drink. The venue is a large, peaceful park, so I recommend taking a stroll around if you have time."

The event will be held from 10:00 to 16:00. Admission is free. In case of rain, the event will be held at the Yukawa Civic Center (Hajiro, TEL 017-788-1201 ).
