Stamp rally in Hirakawa, Aomori - 43 restaurants participate
A stamp rally called "All Hirakawa Gourmet Stamps Tour" is currently being held in Hirakawa City.
This campaign will be held for the second time since January this year, and only restaurants will participate this time. Those who collect three or more stamps from 43 participating restaurants in Hirakawa City will be entered into a lottery to win a food and drink voucher worth up to 10,000 yen.
According to Masaru Togawa of the Hirakawa City Tourism Association, which is organizing the campaign, Hirakawa City is divided into three areas: Hiraga, Onoe, and Ikarigaseki, and there are many unique restaurants rooted in each area. Togawa said, "I hope this will be an opportunity for people in and outside the city to learn about Hirakawa's restaurants."
Of the 43 stores participating in the campaign for the first time, three opened this year. Yakiniku Hope (Minamiyanagida, Honmachi, Hirakawa City) opened in March this year as a restaurant serving the local meat culture of Hirakawa Sagari. Daikoji Cafe (Daikoji Ichitakimoto) is a cafe that opened in August and attracted attention for renovating a closed public bath facility. Fuwa Fuwano (Nakasado Minamida) is a cafe that serves puddings and sweets featuring Hirakawa's fictional doll character, Hirakawako, and is open irregularly near Tsugaru Onoe Station. "We hope this will be an opportunity to learn about new stores in Hirakawa City," says Tokawa.
The application boxes are located at the Hiraka Farmers' Center (Owamorikamimatsuoka), the Ikarigaseki Roadside Station (Ikarigaseki Ikariishi), and the Hirakawa City Tourism Association (Saruga Ishirin). Applications will also be accepted online by attaching a photo of the stamp sheet to the application form.
Until January 31, 2025.
