Gokarou (TEL 0172-38-2800 ), a Chinese restaurant located in Ekimae-cho, Hirosaki City, will be relocating and reopening on the second floor of Hirosaki Park Hotel on August 1st.

The restaurant opened in 1995 in Ekimae-cho, Hirosaki City as a Chinese restaurant. In 2013, it became part of the Imagine Group and was renovated. It has been closed since January 2024 due to relocation. Manager Shinobu Ishidoya said the reason for the relocation to Hirosaki Park Hotel was "to improve the overall strength of Hirosaki Park Hotel, which is run by the Imagine Group."

The restaurant will be relocated to the former izakaya on the second floor of the hotel. There will be 60 seats in total, including an open kitchen-style counter and table seats. The sign and lighting fixtures from the previous restaurant will be used in the new store. The restaurant has a casual interior that can be used casually by anyone, from individuals to families and other groups.

The head chef from before the relocation will continue to be in charge of cooking, and the restaurant will offer the four major Chinese cuisines of Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, and Cantonese. The menu includes the "Luxury Building Lunch," "Chinese Congee Lunch," and "Noodle Lunch" (1,500 yen), which are only available during lunch hours, as well as other a la carte dishes such as "Stir-fried Shredded Beef and Green Peppers" (1,000 yen), "Fried Chicken with Yulin Sauce" (800 yen), "Candy-covered Scorched Rice" (900 yen), and "Shrimp in Chili Sauce" (1,000 yen).

There is a dinner course (5,500 yen) that includes shark fin medicinal soup and Peking duck, and a course meal that can be rented out for the entire bucket room "Suolo" on the third floor. Hors d'oeuvres and takeout orders are also available.

Ishidoya says, "We have been in business for nearly 30 years as a restaurant serving authentic Chinese food. We would like to continue as a restaurant that many people can enjoy for a long time in our new location."

Business hours are 11:30-14:00 and 17:00-20:30. Closed on Tuesdays.
