The craft event "Apple Road Craft Exhibition" will be held on June 15th and 16th at Agri-in-Holiday, a British Aristocrat's House (Ozawa, Hirosaki City), located along Apple Road.

90 artists from inside and outside Aomori Prefecture will set up booths to sell craftwork such as garden goods, fabric goods, woodwork goods, ceramics, and glass accessories. More than half of the exhibitors are from outside the prefecture, while from within the prefecture, works such as Tsugaru Kogin embroidery, Tsugaru lacquerware, and Aomori hiba products will be on display. Workshops will also be held at nine booths, and 23 food and drink booths will be set up.

The event has been held since 2018 under the concept of "2 days in a dreamland," and this year marks its 7th anniversary. Masako Fujii, who serves as the executive committee chairperson, is a craft enthusiast. She came up with the idea for the event after working at Agri in Holiday, and proposed it to the owner, Hirokazu Watanabe, who made it a reality.

Fujii smiles and says, "The venue is in a great location with views of the apple orchards and Mt. Iwaki that stretch out in all directions. I hope families will bring a picnic blanket and enjoy this 'land of dreams' as if they were on a picnic."

The event will be held from 10am to 5pm on the 15th and from 9am to 4pm on the 16th. Admission is free.
